Since I've posted videos of 2NE1 performing English covers of popular American songs, I thought it's only be fair to show some videos of Big Bang. Here the boys are in a radio station singing Ne-Yo's "So Sick". They missed a few of their cues to start singing, but they make up for by adding in their own rap part in. This is an old video, so please don't be too harsh on the boys.

Only in Japan: Potty Games

Guys, ever get bored while taking a whiz? Ever wish you had some kind of motivation to keep your stream flowing? Well move on over to Japan and all your problems can be solved! Japanese game company Sega, famous for bringing us iconic figures as Sonic the Hedgehog, have created a new urinal based gaming interface. The game, called “Toirettsu", works like this. Players earn points by actually aiming at sensors inside the urinal.

According to this article on Popsci.com, the games have been installed into restaurants and other public areas to prompt men to stop aiming at the floor. You can expect more games like to pop up around the country as it provides convince for workers and advertisement for the companies involved. Sorry ladies, you won't be finding this game any of your restrooms. For now this is only for men, and only in Japan.

Anime Corner: Wish Upon the Pleiades

Hey guys I'm here to let you know about the coolest thing I've heard this week. SUBARU and GAINAX have teamed up to create it's own magical girl anime and it's being aired for free on Youtube! (SCREAM!). Guess what, it's in Japanese with English subs created by the company! The show is called "Wish Upon the Pleiades" or "Hakago no Pleiades" . The episodes are really short and there are only four episodes. The characters are really cute, my favorites being Subaru and Itsuki.

Relief Efforts in Japan: Ways you can Help

As the relief efforts in Japan continue to go under way, and the situation seems to worsen, it has become even more important that Japan gets all the help that it can get. Yet there are still people who do not know how they can help, or do not have the necessary funds to give a donation. In this post I've added found different ways that you can give money to Japan, whether it's by watching a YouTube video, buying a bracelet, or sending money directly to charity.

Fashion

The fashion has also decided to give money for the cause. Fashion designers such as Rebecca Minkoff is donating $100 dollars for every hand bag she sells. Pamela Usantohas also decided that 100% of the proceeds from her "Lumiere" collection will go to help relief efforts. American pop singer Lady Gaga has created a special wrist band for Japan. The proceeds from this will also go to efforts in Japan. You can buy the band here.For more fashionable ways to help, check out this post for links to other causes.

Music for Money

Many music artists have donated money to Japan. From American artists such as Justin Bieber, Brittany Spears, and Asian artists such as 2NE1, and Korean girl group Kara has decided that the proceeds they receive for their latest single "Jet Coaster Love" will go towards helping the relief efforts in Japan. So if you've been jamming to their new song, why not go and buy their single on iTunes and you can be sure that you're money will go to the relief efforts that are currently underway.

Send Money
This may be the easiest way to help raise money. All you have to do is send "REDCROSS" to 90999. This will send $10 to the Redcross and the money will be added to your phone bill at the end of the month.

Turn Your Views into Cash

YouTube Stars Michelle Phan and Ryan Higa have used their power to help raise money for Japan. Michelle has created a Cherry Blossom inspired makeup look. She says that she was inspired by the upcoming spring in Japan. She has already raised $1000 for the Redcross through her charity video and has decided to continue raising money by making more videos. She plans to upload another video, with all proceeds going to Japan.

Ryan Higa have also stepped up to the plate by donating over $1000 to Japan and has also promised to give $6oo for every million views that his video receives. You can keep up with how much money he raises by checking out his website.

Many have criticized the way that Ryan and Michelle have decided to raise money. This is what both stars had to say about their choice to create charity videos:

People keep saying "why don't you just donate the money instead of trying to get people to view it?" My biggest strength right now is that I'm fortunate enough to have a following. The purpose of this video was not only to support Japan myself, but to encourage others as well. I could have easily donated the money and not made a video about it, but I think its a lot more important to get support from all over the world. I personally can't donate a million dollars, but if millions of people watch this and decide to chip in, it is possible... I'm just trying to help in the best way that I can.

Be sure to be careful of who you send your money to. Scammers love disasters like this and try to trick the innocent out of their money all the time, so be sure to donate to credible organizations only, and check your sources. The New York Times has added a few ways to that you can helpout that I have not added here.

Which Japanese Celebrities are safe?

With the surge of new social media a lot of people are relying a little too much on sites such as Twitter for their news. For example, Satoshi Tajiri has become a Twitter trending topic because of his death in the recent earthquake in Japan. Pokemon fans retweeted "RIP Satoshi Tajiri" and gave their condolences to his family and shared their thanks for creating an anime that has touched our childhood. This a sweet and . Satoshi Tajiri is not dead. NintendoAmerica tweeted "Thanks for your concern! During the earthquake no one at Nintendo in Japan was injured and there was no apparent structural damage". This confirms that neither Satoshi, nor any of their workers were harmed during the earthquake nor the tsunami. It was just a cyber joke that went hay wire.

Many of the people who tweeted that he had died are now getting backlash for their previous tweets. This just goes to show you that the you can't believe everything you hear.

Pray For Japan

If you are reading this post right now, please take a moment to pray for the people of Japan. The country of Japan was hit by a earthquake that triggered a massive tsunami with 13ft waves followed by many aftershocks. Power has been lost to hundreds and some have had their homes taken away from them. As I write this, officials have confirmed that the death toll is expected to be over 1,000.

Video Spotlight: Thelma Aoyama FT Tae Yang- FALL IN LOVE

I found this video a few weeks ago and I have no idea how I could have missed it! It's really catchy. The song is in Japanese and is sung by Thelma Aoyama and Big Bang's Taeyang. Their voices work well together and Taeyang has speaks really good Japanese if I must say.

Only in Korea

KARA is back with their first music video since their disbanding rumor. The song, called "Jet Coaster Love", is and I'm loving every bit of it! I'm sure it's going to be on everyone's ipods pretty soon in Japan. The video reminds me of "Honey" at some parts and also a bit of "Jumpin" at 0:20. Video Spotlight: Far East Movement - Rocketeer ft. Ryan Tedder

Loving this new song by Far East Movement. I really love that they show interracial dating and the girl is pretty cool too. She gets brownie points fot her love for anime (2:40, Princess Ai) and she goes to Japan, my personal Meca. this is a nice follow up to "G6".
