[Breaking News] Daesung Involved in Car Accient, Motorcyclists Dead (Updated)


BigBang's Daesung was recently involved in a fatal car accident. Reports say that on May 31st at approximately 1:40am, Daesung was driving an Audi car on Yanghwa Bridge in South Korea when he crashed into motorcyclists driving in front of him. One of the motorcyclists, who is yet to be named, is said to have been killed instantly. Young Deung police are currently investigating the whether or not Daesung was drunk driving when these events transpired. Please pray for the motorcyclist and his family. More news will be revealed about this incident.

Update 1: 
According to Allkpop.com, Daesung was not drinking and driving the day of the accident.  They have reported that "Daesung crashed into a taxi and an anonymous motorcyclist that was already passed out on the street. While the taxi driver stopped his car to help the motorcyclist, who was hit by a previous hit-and-run accident, Daesung crashed into the stopped taxi, killing the motorcyclist. After the accident, police arrived and gave Daesung an alcohol test. It was revealed that Daesung was not under the influence of alcohol. He is now at the police station for further investigations."

According to YG, Daesung was driving down the first lane, and the taxi in front of him suddenly drove over to the second lane and then quickly reversed back into the first lane, causing Daesung to collide.

As soon as Daesung got out of the car accident, he asked the taxi driver if "he was okay," and the taxi driver said, "I'm not the problem right now. On the first lane, there's a passed-out motorcycle driver who is bleeding, so I tried to escape the situation and then tried to stop to examine it."

Daesung and the taxi driver are currently at the Seoul Police Station being investigated . They have been there since 4:50am.

Many sources have claimed that the motorcyclist's dead has not been confirmed, but Naver News is stating that the motorcyclist is dead, and an autopsy is being scheduled to determine cause of dead.

A Police official is quoted saying, “The exact cause of death is not yet known, but Daesung’s charges will vary depending on whether or not his accident caused the fatal injury.”

Daesung was reportedly driving at 60km (37.3miles) at the time of collision.
