Minzy and Park Bom have a twitter! Minzy got hers the day of her 18th birthday and Bommie came soon after. ALthough Bom hasn't been updating a lot since she opened her account, Minzy couldn't stop tweeting! Have you ever heard of the Kwon twins? If you said no, then you don't know what you're missing! Blackjacks may know them as CL and Dara's dance partners in the "Go Away" performances. The twins, Dony and Deuk, have caused alot of rumors in the YG Universe as many fans believe they are trainees. They can be seen in episode three of Secret Garden they were giving a lot of camera time in Seungri's "V.V.I.P." video. It seems like the two are getting al ot of attention -maybe too much attention for just backup dancers, causing many to belive that the two are set for debuting.
I feel ashamed to say that this is the first time I've heard Seungri's new song "V.V.I.P."or even watched the video. This video is going straight to the play list. The video has an Alice and Wonderland theme and it was carried out pretty well. Seungri also makes fun of his fellow band mates. If you stop the video at 0:34 you can see Seungri posing as each member of BigBang. He even has TOP's blond hair!The song is really catchy and will probably be stuck on replay for some fans.
Also, Seungri has been getting a lot of attention in the wake of his album's release. A Brazilian news channel featured his song and even likened him to Justin Timberlake, Usher, and even Justin Bieber (even though Seungri's been singing way before him). I thought was so cute and had to share! It's great to see YG family working together, and the girls did a great job and showed off their personalities! Dara is so funny, Minji is always amazing, and look at TOP laughing at Dara's craziness! CL shows off her top girl attitude and of course Bom-Unnie killed the vocals! 2NE1 and G-TOP FIGHTING!
It's so hard to find good solo artist in the kpop world, but I found another one. Her is G.NA and this is her new song Black and White. It sounds good so far, I think I'll check out her older work as well. What do you think of the song?
Remember hearing those words on Saturday morning while watching Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup kick bad guy butt in the Powerpuff Girls? The show was one of my favorite past times. I'd sit there and watch the show and cheer on the girls as they battled monsters, evil doers, and overcame everyday life troubles like bedtime and school. Sadly, the show came to an end - but it took another route in Japan.
The show may not have been renewed for a new season in America, but the Japanese have taken the show and given it a makeup over. Known as Demashitaa in Japan, the show starts as No longer are the girls some experiment gone wrong, but instead they are normal girls who have been accidently zapped with chemical Z, making them super heroes. Not only that, but the girls look human! They have fingers, a nose, eyebrows, and all the other humanistic features that the original American girls were not given.I've actually found an English dub of the episodes via Youtube. Sadly, there are no reports that Cartoon will take up this new adaptation of the show for US audiences. So this is just another product that is only in Japan.

Kpop News sources have just reported that Kara members Nicole, Hara, Jiyoung, and Seongyeon have terminated their contract with DSP Media entertainment.The girls are accusing the company of over working them and turned in a letter today. What's more, the leader, Gyuri, had no idea that the other girls were leaving the group! Rumors have already circulated that the group won't stay together. However there is hope that the group will not disband. Gyuri confirmed that she had no idea that the girls had left the company and said "... all I want to do is be with the KARA members right now."
This comes as the girls have finished a successful year in Japan and racked up many awards including best new group. Let's just pray that things work out and the girls are able to stay together.

Finally another update about the MBC competition! This time I've added the MBC episode of the Youtubers. I wasn't able to give you guys updates on the competition because the contestants were not able to talk about the contest due to their contracts. I'm not sure if I can give out what I currently know about the competitiors, or who on this list was able to go further on in the competition, but you can always follow the contestants of Youtube/Twitter! The first three videos do not have an English subtitles, but the contestants were admitted into the second round along with others.

It seems as the Korean music industry has a fine set of rules that must be followed if a group is to succeed. The girls must be pretty, have a bit of talent, and have perfect thin bodies. But a new girl group is going against the rules.
Piggy Doll, comprised of Lee Ji-yeon, Kim Min-sun, and Park Ji-eun, is a new girl group that has gone against the rules. The most obvious difference between Piggy Dolls and other girl groups is their size, these girls have curves and their hoping that they can break barriers image.
Doll is able to represent the average woman who doesn't look like the singers they see on TV all the time. Hopefully this group will be able to open doors for more artists who have amazing voices but don't have the "ideal image" that is so heavily promoted now.
So far, netizens seem to like them. Comments on Youtube, twitter, and other sites are praising the girls for their courage and praising them for their voice. One of them goes to write,
It's good to have outer appearance but the talent is more important. You're gonna promote a girl group who only have pretty faces & good bodies but they can't sing or dance? These girls are the best out of all the rookies I've seen so far since 2010. .
One thing that I do not like about this group is their name. It seems insulting to the girls and I'd wish their label would change it. But I guess it has helped lead to their exposure. If I hadn't seen the name, I probably would have never checked them out. What do you think about the group?

They may be down three members, but TVXQ is still going strong. With a new image and song, the now duo of Jung Yunho and Shim Changmin are back for the first time since the split with a video to "Keep Your Head Down" and believe me it's on fire! Amazing choreography, video concept, and they're still talented!

I didn't think Secret was a great group. The first and only song I bothered to hear by them was "Madonna" and despite it being added to my blog's playlist, I hated it. So without even given them a second chance I categorized them with the no talent kpop artist list. That's when I heard "Shy Boy" and my whole opinion changed. The song is really cute and the clothes in the video are amazing. I could actually play this over and over. I love the throwback to the 1950s. Just because of this song, I may actually give Secret another chance. Check out the song and feel free to give your views.
Random Thought: do you think that 1950s and 60s inspired clothing will become a trend soon? I've been seeing a lot of kpop artist using this style including the Wonder Girls and SNSD. If so, I hope it's as good looking as the clothes in this video. I'd buy it.

2ne1 is harmful to kids! At least that's what the Ministry of Public Administration and Security seem to think. Just last November the MPAS ruled that "Can't Nobody (English) and "I'm Busy" were harmful to children because of their use of profanity. This was just the first in a series of bad light given to YG groups basedon lyrical content.
Now, according to reports from allkpop.com, TOP and GD's new video "Knock Out" has been blocked from KBS, MBC, and SBS. The stations the video was banned was because the title and lyrics used slang, which they believed would damage the national psyche. Another ban quickly followed, this time by MBC for their song "Don't Go Home".
The station has not revealed why the song was deemed inappropriate, but a representatives for YG revealed to Star News "We expected ‘Knock Out’ to be banned from the three networks, so we will be re-submitting the songs, but MBC banning ‘Don’t Go Home’ has come as a bit of a surprise to us." "We’ve retorted that there is nothing wrong with the song, as it was even accepted by KBS and SBS. As much as it is hard to understand why MBC would find it unfit for broadcast, we believe that MBC has their own reasons, so we will respectfully re-submit it for an evaluation."
Let's just hope that hope that YG family isn't banned again, ya?
